There's been a lot of design on this little blog lately, so I think it's time we have a style post. I always keep an ongoing "WANT" list of clothing and accessories I've got my heart set on. This list is usually a really fancy text document saved on my desktop or an e-mail sent to myself - something that I can lust over daily. Below is what is currently on that list!
One: J. Crew Vintage Straight Jean In Old Relic Wash. Remember that closet essential checklist I made for myself a while ago? Well, the list has evolved since then. Part of that evolution was the addition of boyfriend jeans. I want a comfortable fit that is still tailored and slightly distressed. This J. Crew option fits all the criteria! I have a friend that might get a job at J. Crew, so Chrissy, if you do, first thing you're doing is getting me these at the employee discount rate!!
Two: Sperry Top-Sider 2-Eye Boat Shoe. I bought my first pair of these back in 2009 and I love them. I love them so much, in fact, that they are completely worn out and it's time for a new pair. Sperry has a TON of super cute boat shoe styles, but I would rather stick with the classic.
Three: Nude Pumps. These are actually number one on my list, but if I would have configured the images by order it wouldn't have looked so pretty! I have been searching for 4+ inch, leather, round-toe nude pumps for what feels like FOREVER! I am so pale that it has been almost impossible to find a nude shade light enough to match my skin tone. The only ones I have found are these patent Aldo pumps. They are the perfect color, however, I went through 2 pairs in less than a year because the material tears so easily. The heels scrape and nick after just one wear. I do not recommend. So I'm looking for real leather or a quality patent. Since I haven't found the ideal pair yet, why not dream big with these Loubs? Purchasing these seems about as plausible right now as finding any pump in the right shade. SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED, BLOG WORLD!
Four: Tom Ford Nikita Sunglasses. Ever since I saw Kourtney Kardashian wearing a similar pair in an episode of last season's Kourtney & Kim Take New York (yes, I watch all the Kardashian shows, and no, I am not ashamed of it. I. LOVE. THEM), I have been obsessed with cat-eye sunglasses. The first thing I'm going to do when I get new vision insurance is order contacts. The second thing I'm going to do is buy cat-eye sunglasses.
Five: J. Crew Classic Pavé Link Bracelet. You might have heard me talk about this bracelet in my Arm Party post so you already know that I want it and you already know that it is way too pricey for me to justify buying. As with most of the items on this list. That's why it's called the want list! Maybe I should change the name to the "Keep Dreaming, Elise" list...
Six: Equipment Signature Blouse. And the final item on the Keep Dreaming list is any Equipment Signature blouse. There are 49 colors to choose from and if it came down to it, I wouldn't care what color it was as long as the world's most perfectly constructed blouse was in my possession. What was that? Oh, sorry. I was too busy drooling on my knock-off to hear you talk about how impractical a $200 shirt is...
